1 Trip, 5 Ways: Hawaii
May 19, 2024 3:40 PM

Offering some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and most stunning natural wonders, virtually endless recreational opportunities, year-round temperatures that hover around 80 degrees, and a well-organized tourism infrastructure that creates a mostly seamless vacation experience, attracts some seven million tourists each year. What’s more, the best of Hawaii — its natural attractions — can be enjoyed at little cost. But whether you’re on a budget or you’re looking for luxury, zzdtravel has found just the spot to stay for almost every kind of traveler and has a hotel for you. We’ve teamed up with to bring you five ways to stay in Hawaii. Check it out below and next week, check out your Captivate elevator screens for 1 Trip, 5 Ways: Rome!

Marriott Wailea Resort

You can’t visit Hawaii without going to a luau, and the Marriott’s three-hour extravaganza is the best in Wailea. The meal is delicious and doesn’t forgo any of the essential luau elements, including traditional food like poi and kalua pork.

Travaasa Hana, Maui

After hikes to nearby waterfalls or hunts for hidden beaches, couples can take a dip in the hotel’s infinity pool or the Honua Spa’s outdoor lava-rock pool, dine at the excellent restaurant, and then retreat to spacious modern cottage suites (some with private hot tubs), where guests will find no phones, TVs, radios, or alarm clocks to spoil the mood.

Hotel Renew

This 72-room Waikiki boutique offers designer style with sample-sale price tags. Recently renovated rooms fashioned by San Francisco designer Jiun Ho are some of the most stylish on the island, yet you can usually get them for less than $150.

Hilton Hawaiian Village

The largest resort in Hawaii, the amenities-packed Hilton Hawaiian Village has more to offer families than any other property on Oahu — or Maui or Kauai for that matter. Among the top-shelf attractions are the dozens of species of animals on the grounds, the calm, coral-reef-protected waters at the beach, and the kids’ club which offers plenty of activities.

Four Seasons Maui

The Four Seasons is quieter and more subdued than Maui’s more grandiose resorts, but a two-to-one staff-to-guest ratio means over-the-top pampering like nowhere else in Hawaii — poolside Evian spritzes, beachside yoga classes, and they even have someone to unpack your bags for you.
