How Kim and Kate Will Spoil Their Spawn: Over-the-Top Hotel Baby Amenities
How Kim and Kate Will Spoil Their Spawn: Over-the-Top Hotel Baby Amenities-November 2024
Nov 12, 2024 6:28 PM

Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton are ready to pop (both have June due dates), and the world has been mesmerized by their growing bellies and beautiful (and, um, innnnteresting) maternity fashion choices. And we know that once those bundles of joy arrive, they'll be getting tons of attention -- not only from the paps and fans, but also from their doting parents. So we did a little research to figure out just how Kim and Kate will spoil their spawn. We made a list of the five most over-the-top, kid-friendly hotel amenities out there that these celebrity (and royal) moms will definitely approve of -- and will probably take advantage of during their many travels. If Kimbryo will love these kid-friendly amenities, so will you!

Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel

It would be wise for newbie celebrity tots to take notes from Suri Cruise — after all, she is the most watched, and adored, celebrity offspring of all time. And back in 2007, when she was just 18 months old, Suri hosted an over-the-top Madeline-themed tea party in the iconic Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, complete with live musical accompaniments, tasty treats such as mac ‘n cheese and mini burgers, and about 25 guests. The event reportedly cost Katie and Tom a whopping $100,000. We’re sure the Kardashians and the royal family could also afford to throw such a lavish affair, but us mere mortals can enjoy tea in Bemelmans (where the walls are covered with Madeline illustrations) with our tots as well. The afternoon tea starts up again in October, and includes tea, hot chocolate, pastries, finger sandwiches, a pianist for sing-alongs, and Madeline books on-hand for reading, all for a reasonable prix-fixe price.

Laniwai Spa at the Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa

This gorgeous property in the Ko Olina resort complex delivers on all of the Disney staples — but in a much more subtle way than the brand’s mainland destinations. Yet, true to the Disney brand, its priority is pampering kids, and it does so beautifully. Of course, there are tons of family-friendly amenities and activities, such as character breakfasts, but the most over-the-top kid-friendly services are offered at the Laniwai Spa. Even as-of-yet unborn children are kept in mind, with the Makana treatment, where one parent enjoys a treatment while the other receives instruction on the “art of baby massage” — we know which parent we’d prefer to be! The keiki wahine experience, complete with mani/pedis, hairstyling, and “shimmering” makeup, is available for toddlers, and children ages five and up can take part in ‘Ohana, a family-oriented massage. Other hotels, such as Barcelo Maya Colonial in Riviera Maya, also offer kiddie spas.

The Deluxe Studio at The Benjamin

The Benjamin is an upscale, sleep-themed hotel: amenities include incredibly comfy beds, pillow menus, and even a sleep concierge. Though the hotel largely attracts business travelers, it caters to families as well. Kids are pampered with the Winks’ Kidzzz Club, a sleep-themed program led by “Winks the Owl,” who gives kids tips on healthy bedtime habits, as well as loaner books, pillows, and robes, and stuffed animals and Kidzzz Club Sleep Certificates they can take home. After rocking out at dad’s concerts, mini-Kim (the reality star is expecting a girl) will definitely need some pointers on fitting in a good night’s sleep!

Entrance at The Beverly Hills Hotel

Just taking your tot to the uber-luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel will spoil them enough, but of course the hotel goes above and beyond to make sure that celebrities’ kids feel like celebrities themselves. We’re sure Kim will have schooled Kimmy Jr. on all the red carpet tricks, but just in case she needs a bit more practice, Kanye’s baby momma can indulge her spawn with the “Little Legends” package. This luxurious package, starting at $560, includes a “red carpet photo opportunity,” keepsake photo, personalized chocolate, t-shirt, and ice cream sundae.

The Barbie Suite at The Palms Casino

We know Kim’s having a girl, so she’s sure to love the Barbie Suite at The Palms — and, hey, boys can love Barbie, too! This luxurious, pink-on-pink suite, designed by Jonathan Adler, is all about Barbie — from the framed photos on the walls to the mirror made from 65 Barbie dolls. Amenities that families will enjoy include a fireplace, numerous flat-screen TVs, a whirlpool tub, 24-hour butler service, and car service (in the hotel’s Escalade) to the airport and the Strip. Plus, the suite can hold up to 40 people for a special birthday party or event, and parents can take advantage of the VIP status at ghostbar and Moon that comes with a night in the suite.
