Nendo Island, Solomon Islands

Nendo Island is the largest of the Santa Cruz Islands located in Solomon Islands. It was discovered by a Spanish explorer who was attempting a return trip to the Solomon Islands in 1568. Because it is located along the Ring of Fire, Nendo often experiences earthquakes which leave a unique geological landscape in their wake.
