Sakaiminato City is situated in the northern part of the Yumigahama Peninsula along a beautiful coastline of white sand beaches lined with green pine trees. Landmarks include Mizuki-Shigeru Road, which is lined with bronze statues of imaginary creatures that appear in the comic books of Mizuki Shigeru, and Minatomachi Park, which has a bathhouse where visitors can enjoy a hot spring bath.
