Come to Syros and experience authentic Greek island culture. The island is located in the Cyclades, and can be accessed by boat or plane. Taking a ferry is the most common method of travel between the islands of the Cyclades, and is the best way to connect the capital, Ermoupolis and other cities like Athens. Most beaches around Syros have pebbled shores, but there are a few exceptions with popular sandy beaches like Kini, Vari, and Megas Gialos. Visitors to Ermoupolis can explore the city's charm and discover old cathedrals and beautiful plazas when not spending time at the beaches.
